We are excited to be recruiting for a Brand Manager (Snacking) to join our Marketing Team. 

As the Brand Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Lindt Snacking portfolio within the UK market. You will also be responsible for the development and execution of annual marketing objectives as well as long term brand planning, with support from the Marketing Manager.

Key responsibilities:

MPD support:
  • Support the Marketing Manager in developing the right growth strategy for year ahead through analysing key internal data (NNTS & GP) and market dynamics (brand performance indicators such as Market share, VOD, AUP, penetration etc.), drawing insightful conclusions to support MPD
  • Contribute to Y+1 portfolio and plan, including NPD initial feasibility, developing all or aspects of 360 multi touch points activation plan with strong alignment with International Mkt and final approval from UK MT
  • Deliver contribution in line with process communicated by Management on time with MD, UK MT and Intl.
Marketing plans and activation:
  • Lead the best possible execution of current year plans (all aspects of activation), with clear measures for success, and post activity analysis.
  • Day to day management of media, PR, event and design agencies (supported by Assistant Brand Manager). Close collaboration with shopper marketing team to ensure in-store plans are fully aligned
  • Manage the plans within brand budget.
  • Full A&P Budget accountability (advertising, PR, promotion, marketing management)
Innovation & NPD:
  • Leads the full development of new products signed off at MPD: from accurate P&L to execution (including supplier briefings, project proposal and relationships with factories, cost & feasibility, artwork management and all internal alignments).
Ongoing business lead:
  • Leading role in cross functional team (i.e. Brand Review) working closely with sales, finance and category champions to monitor brand performance vs KPIs and recommend solution to close gaps, ensuring delivery of brand P&L’s and forecast commitments.
  • Championing the brand to the Sales team, supporting with strong sell-in presentations and support materials.
    Where appropriate accompanying them to buyer meetings.
Develop Consumer & Competitor Insight
  • Propose relevant research project with clear action standards, working closely with MM and Insight Manager. Brief project, provide relevant assets and draw actionable insights. Other responsibilities:
Expected to take additional ‘champion’ lead for ad-hoc or ongoing projects.

What we need from you:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent (minimum 2:1)
  • Experience in local brand/product marketing within a blue chip FMCG company
  • Experienced in analysing data (TNS/kantar, Nielsen/IRI, Internal data such as Cognos)
  • Experience of managing a P&L
  • Experience of new product development preferred but not essential
  • Experience of media buying preferred but not essential
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, and potential to develop to more senior roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to network and establish productive business relationships cross functionally, inside, across and outside of the organisation.
  • Passion for LINDT
  • Microsoft office skills – Experienced and proficient at a high level in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Express
