How you could help us to Enchant the World with Chocolate

We have an exciting opportunity where you could be a part of our incredible team.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining effective systems of credit management to limit risk, reduce overdue debt and ensure speedy resolution of queries. To contribute to the sales / operations management team by determining credit strategy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ledger Specific Tasks
    • Implement, monitor, and follow up on KPIs across AR and AP to ensure that both teams minimise aging on their ledgers.
    • Optimise net working capital cycle.
    • Ensure decision making on order release is consistent and compliant with internal guidelines.
    • Implementation and maintenance of a set of comprehensive credit risk policies, procedures and controls.
    • Oversee month end procedures to ensure that all statements / debt letters are issued.
    • Oversee / review all insolvency and legal action.

  • Monthly Reporting
    • Monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators AR and AP Ledgers.
    • Forecast ownership of revenue cash inflow / outflow and analysis of actual cash inflow vs. forecast.
    • Review integrity of Customer Master data and ensure timely credit assessment of all customers.

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team of 4/5 by setting priorities aligned to game plan objectives.
    • Ensure timely performance reviews and PDPs are in place for each team member in line with HR guidelines.
    • Develop team capability to deliver improved support to the business and look to streamline processes where possible.
    • Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
    • Ensure optimal team structure to enable delivery against changing needs of business.
  • Change Management
    • Lead projects to drive process efficiency across both ledgers.
    • Support company-wide initiatives which impact processes within AP and AR.

What experience you’ll bring

  • Have proven and substantial experience in an AP/AR leadership role within FMCG.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and Accounts Receivable procedures.
  • Proven track record of improving collections and DSO.
  • Credit Risk Assessment skills.
  • Familiarity in all aspects of debt recovery including litigation.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
  • Knowledge of Insolvency cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with people from both financial and non-financial backgrounds.
  • Be an innovative problem solver and a facilitator of change.
  • Be able to work cross functionally both internally and externally.

This role is based in Feltham, London (Hybrid Working: in the office 60% and WFH 40%)
