Are you commercially curious with a passion for finance and a drive to make an impact from day one? Lindt UK is looking for a standout individual to join our Commercial Finance team, where finance meets strategy, and insights shape real business decisions.

This is a commercially focused role designed to give you deep exposure to the commercial heartbeat of our UK & Ireland business. In this role you will provide business partnering and financial control of key accounts in the management of their Gross to Net, Net Trade Sales (NTS) and Gross Profit (GP), in line with Business Objectives. This role will work closely with the sales teams and provide decision support, key analysis and reporting that drives financial insights and actions, as well as financial control and management of Gross to Net spend and GP.

Where you’ll be based

This role is based in in Feltham, London (Hybrid Working: in the office 60% and WFH 40%). From the end of 2025 / early 2026, our Head Office will be based in Richmond Upon Thames.

Key Responsibilities

(70%) Sales Account Management

  • Lead monthly financial account reviews of specific accounts to ensure all risks and reserves in the Gross to Net and GP% have been identified, and to review performance versus targets and ensure there is a robust view of latest estimate. Work together with commercial stakeholders on how to close gaps on NTS, GP and Gross to Net targets in line with Business Objectives.
  • Provide insight and development of the accounts: Draw insight from data, helping the account teams understand the drivers of their financial performance. Ensure that the account teams are receiving full financial support, regular challenge on their Gross to Net spend, insights and direct involvement in developing the account strategy, ensuring it feeds into the Business Gameplan targets.
  • Timely sign off of promotions via the trade promotion system, ensuring in line with company guidelines. Utilise the insights from the trade promotion system post promotion to understand promotional effectiveness. Ensure post season that promotion accruals are reviewed with EPOS data to understand net reserve/risk, and that insights on redemption rates are factored into future promotion planning where appropriate.
  • Net Net Price Tracking Review and track Net Net Price actuals and forecast, understand key movements and use as a key metric as part of GP target tracking.
  • Month End: Prepare insightful reporting of performance, including KPI reporting, FX movements, Customer P&Ls and Finance Dashboards. Review monthly Gross to Net balance sheet for account accruals to ensure adequate cover and have clear overview of FX management on the Balance Sheet. Support month end reporting flexibly as required, including commentary on financial performance.
  • Reporting Support the Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner in preparing the monthly business review and month end pack, providing commentary of key insights and calls to action.
  • Customer P&LS: support in the coordination of the Customer P&Ls and output to Commercial Leads, providing insights from the data
  • Joint Business Planning: Manage scenario planning tool to provide key information to sales stakeholders on a regular basis, and in-year promotion modelling. Challenge and influence decisions made in customer meetings.
  • Lindt Business Planning Process: Work interdependently with Accounting and FP&A to provide latest estimate NTS and GP, with clarity on any Vulnerabilities & Opportunities to be considered. Attend Lindt Business Planning reviews for key accounts, reviewing in year financials and aligning as a cross functional team with sales and demand planning on the latest estimate of NTS and GP. Support in Tertial reviews of NTS GP with Sales and Head of CF as a Tertial moves in the LBP cycle from the long term to the short term horizon

(20%) Projects, Process improvement and control

  • Highlight potential improvements: Using day to day understanding of processes to highlight the potential improvements that could be made to the way we work. The aim being to reduce complexity, time spent to deliver outputs, or improve outputs. Work collaboratively with other Commercial Finance  business partners to drive synergies in processes, utilising systems and driving automation wherever possible.
  • Be the finance lead or representative for relevant business projects as required: This could be around Lindt’s key business objectives for the year ahead or other adhoc business requirements
  • Budget & Latest Estimates: Assist Head of Commercial Finance and the FP&A function with the Budget and Group Latest Estimate processes, ensuring NTS and GP accuracy of numbers for relevant channels and brands.
  • Ad-hoc reporting: Support Head of Commercial Finance as well as CFO with all ad-hoc reporting requirements

(10%) Indirect Leadership of Junior Analysts

  • Management of Pricing, Promotions and Trade Terms: Facilitate accurate forecasting through overseeing the Analysts to ensure terms and accruals for all spends below are accurately reflected in S4.
  • Support Cost Price Increase process to ensure timely set up of CPIs
  • Regularly review the Gross to Net accruals with Account Managers and ensure balance sheets and accruals are accurately maintained highlighting any risks to the business.
  • Timely sign off of Visual Fabriq promotions, ensuring in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure accurate pricing for promotions and clearance deals is captured in the forecast, with clear assumptions documented and finance approval pre set up.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Preferred

  • Studying towards CIMA or equivalent – possessing a broad knowledge of Finance techniques and practices
  • This role may require some travel (approximately 5% a month)
  • Previous experience in Retail/FMCG desirable and at least 2 years in a Finance function
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, experience of accounting systems – SAP S4, Visual Fabriq, BI and TM1 preferable

How you will be rewared financially

For the Commercial Finance Business Partner position, the salary range is £40,000 - £50,000 and it comes with a full study support package.
