Where you’ll be based
This role will initially be based in Feltham, London but from the end of 2025, our brand new Head Office will be based in Richmond upon Thames.(Hybrid Working: in the office 60% and WFH 40%)

As a leader in the Marketing team, this individual manages and develops the long-term business goals of some of our brands portfolio as well as the development and the execution of annual marketing plan initiatives. Success relies on this person’s ability to lead and unite their team whilst building a close working relationship with a complex network of stakeholders. This is an inspiring leadership role that helps deliver our short-term business objectives & our longer-term vision. Ideally we would like the new Marketing Manager to start w/c 3rd November 2025 but we do have flexibility for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Brand Building

  • Supports creation of marketing strategy for assigned brands, leading for initiatives that drive penetration and strengthen brand equity
  • Identifies and addresses key business issues, incorporating data, insights, and implications in recommendations 
  • Directs development of full marketing plans and oversees their execution
  • Works with Business intelligence to identify market research opportunities to enhance consumer understanding and competitive impact
  • Responsible for full P&L, ensuring profitability targets are met and budgets are well managed

Collaborative Business Planning

  • Lead the marketing contributions for assigned brands across our Integrated Business Process, and lead in partnership with peers for business growth
  • Prepare team and self to align senior Group management on the brand strategy and plans
  • Work with finance and cross-functional team to ensure internal and external objectives are met

Innovation

  • Own the development, validation, and execution of the innovation pipeline for the Seasonal brands including retail exclusives
  • Support team in ensuring sign off at the Go To Market for new products & packaging initiatives

Communications Planning and Agency Work

  • Input into and approve briefs for assigned brands with external agencies
  • Develop relevant communication briefs and creatives
  • Collaborate with digital marketing specialists to ensure ongoing improvement of ‘perfect screen’ targets for their portfolio

People Management

  • Leads with passion and motivation that ultimately inspires their people to be at their best
  • Recruit, retain and develop quality Marketing professionals to drive long-term business results
  • Actively communicate expectations and provide regular feedback against those expectations, using monthly 121s and development plans to shape and guide their development 
  • Conduct the annual performance management process, working with each team member to evaluate performance, provide feedback and training
  • Responsible for career development of identifying, guiding and developing marketing talent and strategic capabilities of direct reports

What experience you’ll bring

  • FMCG experinece (within the UK grocery sector preferred)
  • Previous experience in team management
  • Proven ability to successfully utilise all elements of the marketing mix to drive the business
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills: able to use various data sources to analyse and optimise plans
  • Experience with P&L responsibility; budget planning and management.
  • Excellent commercial, analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Strong Leadership skills, excellent motivator
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Confident, proactive with drive for results and highly motivated
  • High level of initiative, able to drive forward projects independently
  • A high level of creativity and passion – be able to take any data and turn into strong insights
  • Possess a high EQ and be able to utilise these skills to help deliver business results

How you will be rewarded financially

For the position of Marketing Manager (12mth FTC) the salary range is £90,000 - £100,000 pro-rated. In addition, you will receive a benefits package including; bonus, pension, life cover, chocolate allowance; chocolate give-aways, chocolate discount, £100 personal incentive, birthday day off and so much more!
