National Account Manager – Grocery E-Commerce

Where you’ll be based
This role is based in Feltham, London (Hybrid Working: in the office 60% and WFH 40%). From the end of 2025, our Head Office will be based in Richmond upon Thames.
How you could help us to Enchant the World with Chocolate
In this exciting new role, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our grocery e-commerce business. As part of the digital sales team, you will be responsible for delivering our targeted online KPIs across our key grocery customers, agreeing and executing online plans that enable long-term omni-channel growth. This will require working effectively with the cross-functional grocery account teams, commercial contacts within key grocery accounts, and external partners to help deliver against our digital channel strategy and overall growth ambition.
Digital Shelf Fundamentals
- Responsible for the delivery of targeted online KPIs in line with the channel & wider sales strategy:
- Availability - product listing & in-stock tracking according to distribution agreements
- Visibility - organic & paid share of key webpage locations
- Conversion - Execution of key digital content, aligned to the Product Information Management system 'gold standard’
- Manage the monthly Digital Shelf Scorecard report, using analytics and insights to identify gaps and opportunities and acting on these with the teams
- Build, manage and optimise our retail media spend with our retail partners, sales teams, customer marketing teams and our partner agencies to maximize return on investment
- Review our paid performance vs key performance (ROAS, NTD, CPC, etc.)
Develop Key Accounts
- Actively lead, negotiate and deliver online execution plans as part of omni-channel JBP’s in key Grocery retailers including Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda and Waitrose
- Work with the account teams to develop and agree seasonal online growth plans as part of omni-channel seasonal plans
- Manage multiple online investment budgets that support key promotions and campaigns throughout the year
- Execute Retail Media plans through retail customer booking systems such as Citrus Ad and Criteo
- Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including our retailers and partner agencies, to ensure flawless execution of plans
- Develop interdependent & collaborative relationships with the sales account teams, marketing, supply chain, category management, revenue growth management, finance and the broader digital team to ensure alignment and successful execution of plans
- Understand and manage all customer timelines / requirements and work these back within the Lindt organisation to implement AYR, Seasonal & NPD launch plans
- Become a key member of the wider digital community across the Lindt Group; sharing best practice across other markets/functions and reporting on performance KPIs
- Deliver on solutions within the digital portfolio strategy, optimising our range online to capitalise on digital shopper missions
- Explore and capitalise on q-comm and marketplace opportunities with our retailers.
- Co-ordinate and agree test & learn initiatives to drive availability, visibility & conversion within select retailers
Data & Insight Management
- Manage the eCommerce reporting process across our online Grocery business and act as the primary point of contact for all grocery e-commerce-related queries and opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity in the grocery and wider e-commerce space
- Agree, track & manage key online promotional activity and campaigns across our grocery retailers, reporting and analysing performance where relevant
- Contribute to advancing the organisation's digital competencies
What experience you’ll bring
- Proven account management or e-commerce execution experience within a major FMCG organisation
- Experience working in the Digital Channel and delivering against digital-specific KPIs.
- Show capability to implement and execute online specific plans
- Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Able to work cross-functionally, both from an internal and external perspective.
- Excellence analytical skills with an ability to manage multiple P&L’s, budgets and investments
- Performance driven, tenacious and goal-oriented
- Good negotiation and presentation skills
- IT literate – skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
