How you could help us to Enchant the World with Chocolate

The Master Data Lead is accountable for the governance, quality, and integrity of master data across all core systems in UK&I, including SAP S/4, VisualFabriq, retail systems, and other enabling platforms.

This role exists to ensure that critical data sets — including pricing, financial, SKU, customer, and other key reference data — are consistently defined, accurately maintained, and effectively controlled. High-quality master data is foundational to reliable reporting, robust analytics, operational efficiency, and successful transformation.

The role combines strong data governance discipline with cross-functional leadership, working closely with Finance, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Retail to embed clear ownership, controls, and ways of working that enable the business to make better, faster decisions.

Where you’ll be based

This role is based in our Head Office in Richmond Upon Thames with hybrid working. (in the office 60% and WFH 40%).

Master Data Governance & Ownership

  • Define and own the master data governance framework for the UK & Ireland market
  • Establish clear data ownership, stewardship, approval workflows, and escalation routes
  • Ensure policies, standards, and controls are documented, understood, and consistently applied

Data Quality & Controls

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of master data across all systems
  • Design and maintain preventative and detective controls to minimise data errors and rework
  • Monitor data quality metrics and lead root-cause analysis where issues arise

Data Domains Coverage: Own governance and quality for key data domains including:

  • Pricing and commercial conditions
  • Financial master data
  • Product / SKU master data
  • Customer and channel master data
  • Other critical reference data sets
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of data definitions across systems and reporting layers

Systems & Transformation Enablement

  • Act as the UK&I master data lead within broader ERP and digital transformation programmes
  • Partner with IT and Global teams to ensure local requirements are understood and embedded
  • Support system design decisions with a strong data integrity and reporting lens

Reporting & Analytics Enablement

  • Enable trusted reporting and analytics by ensuring master data supports consistent hierarchies, attributes, and business rules
  • Work closely with Finance and Analytics teams to resolve data-related reporting issues

Stakeholder Leadership

  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Retail, and IT
  • Influence senior stakeholders to adopt disciplined data behaviours and ownership
  • Translate technical data topics into clear business impact and risk

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate master data processes
  • Embed scalable ways of working that support future growth and complexity

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Preferred

• Proven experience in a Master Data, Data Governance, or Data Management leadership role within a complex organisation

Strong understanding of ERP-driven data environments (SAP S/4 experience strongly preferred)

• Experience working across multiple systems and data domains

• Demonstrated ability to design and embed governance frameworks and controls

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, credibility across senior business leaders

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail, balanced by pragmatic delivery focus

• Comfortable operating in transformation and change environments

How you will be rewarded financially

Internal Level 2

For the position of Master Data Lead the salary range is £60,000 - £75,000. you will receive a benefits package including; bonus, pension, life cover, chocolate allowance; chocolate give-aways, chocolate discount, birthday day off and so much more.
