The PMO Analyst supports the effective running of the Project Management Office, providing disciplined coordination, high-quality information, and strong analytical and administrative support across a complex portfolio of transformation and value-driving initiatives.

This role is well suited to a highly capable graduate or early-career professional who combines academic strength with attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The PMO Analyst enables the Head of PMO and project leaders to focus on delivery and decision-making by ensuring that plans, reporting, governance, and controls are accurate, timely, and consistently applied.

The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, large-scale change, and structured delivery disciplines, providing a strong foundation for future career development.

Where you’ll be based

This role is based in our Head Office in Richmond Upon Thames with hybrid working. (in the office 60% and WFH 40%).

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Administration & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all projects within the portfolio
  • Support coordination across multiple projects, programmes, and workstreams
  • Track plans, milestones, dependencies, and actions with precision and consistency

Reporting & Analytical Support

  • Produce regular PMO reporting packs, dashboards, and status updates
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, risks, slippage, or emerging delivery issues
  • Ensure data quality and logical consistency across all PMO outputs

Governance & Process Discipline

  • Support governance forums by preparing materials, agendas, and papers
  • Track decisions, actions, and follow-ups to ensure clarity and accountability
  • Apply PMO standards, templates, and ways of working consistently

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

  • Maintain accurate risk, issue, and dependency logs across the portfolio
  • Support escalation by ensuring information is clear, evidence-based, and timely
  • Proactively flag concerns or inconsistencies to the Head of PMO

Resource & Capacity Tracking

  • Support tracking of resource allocation and demand across projects
  • Help identify potential capacity clashes or delivery bottlenecks
  • Maintain structured views of commitments and timelines

Stakeholder & Team Support

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for project teams on PMO processes and reporting
  • Support project managers with templates, guidance, and coordination
  • Build strong working relationships through professionalism and follow-through

Learning & Continuous Improvement

  • Quickly build understanding of PMO tools, methodologies, and governance frameworks
  • Suggest improvements to reporting, tracking, and processes based on observation and analysis
  • Demonstrate a strong learning mindset and appetite for responsibility

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Preferred

  • Strong academic background with evidence of intellectual rigou (e.g high quality degree, relevant discipline, or equivalent achievement)
  • Graduate or early-career professional (typically 0–2 years’ experience) in a PMO, project coordination, analytical, consulting, or similar environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with data, trackers, and structured information
  • Advanced Excel skills or clear aptitude to develop them quickly
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Clear, professional communicator with confidence engaging with stakeholders
  • Curious, proactive, and resilient; comfortable working in a fast-paced change environment
